After viewing the movie, one thing appeared very obvious to me.

To some people, art is simply their career
To others, art is something fun to do outside of their career.
But even to others, art is their life.

The other, much more inspiring part of the movie was that it showed art was subjective.
The people that were shown in the movie all had a different view on what art was; whether its something representative or something abstract.

For my ten pictures I decided to do textures.
If this movie was in fact correct, than basically anything can be considered artistic if it somehow 'speaks to you'.

inspirations

Red House

So, what's the problem?

-a lot of people don't know about it
-it's difficult to get to without a car
-not necessarily a safe neighborhood
-advertising is obviously not working

our ideas:

-skip the flyers, get with the generation
1. we use the internet, iphones, music apps and podcasts way more than walk past flyers on a daily basis
a. t shirts
b. merchandise
c. ipod apps
d. posters other than shaffer
e. free tickets
-how do we get awareness?
1. most people haven't even heard of it, so how do we gain public awareness
a. have a showing here
1. make it somewhere like Schine which is major-free
b. have a big artist come
1. music or art
-how do we actually get people there?
1. without cars, it's difficult and unsafe
a. have a strictly red house bus that runs straight there
1. deck it out to make it a fun experience
b. use a limo for really special occasions.
